The Lakes College

MODE was engaged by The Lakes College to design their flagship Administration Office building.

The building is 3 levels with offices on the ground and upper level, and future classrooms on the lower ground. The building mass consists of the double height entry atrium and executive offices transiting into a cathedral height flexible office space that steps back down to the single storey staff offices. Each volume is expressed in different cladding materials and colors that draw inspiration from the existing adjacent buildings. The design also capitalises on the high position of the building by situating and integrating a Boardroom and Principal’s Office with a large deck on the upper level, thereby maximising the vistas all the way to Moreton Bay.
