Tweed House

MODE has delivered a new social housing project with Woollam Construction, for the Land and Housing Corporation NSW, located at 33-35 Boyd Street, Tweed Heads.

Client: Blaine Watson, Woollams Constructions
Location: Tweed Heads, NSW

The building is a 7 storey residential block with 40 apartment units comprising of 1 and 2 bedroom dwellings over six levels with ground floor car parking and residential amenities.

A variety of layouts and numbers of units per floor have created a diverse building for the potential tenants, along with allowing the façades of the building to be assorted and architecturally interesting.

The building has many bespoke characteristics, face brickwork to the ground level and balconies, aluminium batten screens to the balconies and the street edge, a landscaped garden and a generous entry space, that lift the tone of the affordable housing project up to a new level.

These factors help present the complex as not being a social housing apartment building, but as a striking development to the Tweed community.
