Samford Community Hub

The Samford Community Hub is the heart of a new community precinct, jointly funded by the Australian Government and Moreton Bay Regional Council.

The hub is a multi-purpose community space that provides opportunities for local organisations and businesses to work and host events and community activities in the common area, food distribution centre, meeting rooms and offices within. Featuring an open plan building with series of offices branching off the central corridor, the hub is surrounded by wide verandas that draw in breeze as well as long vistas to the nearby hills and valleys. To help lower the operational costs to the community groups using the facilities, the roof roof is tiled to the north to maximise areas for solar panels and with 35kw solar panels installed, is envisioned to be energy positive most of the year.
