Jessie Street Centre Concept

MODE has been engaged to develop concepts for the refurbishment and activation the 2,500m2 Jessie Street Centre lobby, refresh building entry, amenities and lifts.

The team focused on creating a structure which encompass an open space environment and is visually permeable whilst entangled in a luxurious green mass. The semi-private and public integration developed through this architecture aims to reinforce the site-specific community. Well being is translated in the openness and community engagement, and is achieved through the earthy and sustainable materials as such as timber, steel, glass and concrete. By activating the main street entrance to the site, the design provides access for daily convenience, increases population traffic flow and explores lifestyle memberships for JSC tenants, employees and the local community.
