Empire Theatre

The Empire Theatre is a heritage listed art-deco performing arts venue located in Toowoomba.

Owned by Toowoomba Regional Council (TRC) and managed by Empire Theatres Pty Ltd (ETPL), The Empire Theatre and the buildings within the precinct combine to be Australia’s largest regional performing arts complex, facilitating performances, shows and events from international, national and regional artists and performance groups.
The restoration works made sure to incorporate the rich history and existing architectural details into the design with wall sconces, brickwork, marble, gold and art-deco style lighting tying together the interior works of the theatre complex.
The main bar and box office were relocated to improve accessibility and patron experience throughout the theatre.
