MODE is thrilled to announce the appointment of Senior Landscape Architect Steve Langton to the Landscape Architecture team.

Steve brings over 25 years of experience in Landscape Architecture, including 16 years co-directing his own practice. His wealth of experience includes education facilities from early learning to senior, retail and commercial projects across Queensland, private residences and multi-residential developments, as well as parks and open space incorporating both landscape and urban design.

Steve has worked on significant city-shaping projects in Brisbane including Southbank Parklands, Brisbane’s Riverwalk project, and multiple streetscape improvement projects throughout the city. He also recently worked on the Southport Spit Master Plan which will guide the future development of one of Southeast Queensland’s most treasured recreational assets.

His approach to design is to achieve outcomes that are both functional and beautiful and he believes that the things that make a place great are not always obvious, but all relate to supporting the basic human need for comfort, safety, belonging, and self-actualisation.

MODE’s Landscape Architecture Team delivers projects from all MODE studio locations, working in a multi-disciplinary environment to ensure projects are integrated and well considered.

Steve has joined MODE as a leader, driving the Landscape Architecture team in collaborative projects to design communities, environments, parklands, workplaces, community facilities and infrastructure that allow people to thrive.
