Key amenities include private meeting rooms, event spaces, and a communal kitchen, all housed within a contemporary warehouse-style building that fosters creativity and productivity.
Strategically located near Eat Street Northshore, The Wheelhouse is a vital part of the Northshore Hamilton Priority Development Area, a $12 billion urban renewal initiative transforming former industrial land into a dynamic mixed-use precinct. Developed by Economic Development Queensland and managed by CBRE, the project is set for completion in late 2024, with operations commencing in early 2025.
The construction is led by Bridgeman, a Supply Nation-certified company, highlighting a commitment to Indigenous engagement by incorporating First Nations businesses into the supply chain. This approach reflects the project’s broader goal of fostering inclusivity and sustainability.
Designed by MODE, the project exemplifies the firm’s CONNECTED BY DESIGN philosophy by utilising a multidisciplinary approach that integrates Architecture, Interior Design, and Landscape Architecture. This synergy ensures a holistic design that seamlessly blends functionality, aesthetics, and environmental sensitivity.
As a hub for innovation, The Wheelhouse will host events such as workshops, pitch nights, and mentorship programs, further enhancing Northshore Brisbane’s reputation as a thriving centre for creativity and entrepreneurship. It is poised to become a landmark destination, driving collaboration and economic growth within the precinct.
