The Flagstone Shopping Centre extension in Jimboomba, QLD, represents a thoughtfully designed single-storey development, adding approximately 2,500m² of new retail and commercial space. This project includes a supermarket, 12 specialty retail stores, and a commercial office space, all while prioritising responsiveness to the natural surroundings and the subtropical climate of the region.

The development is a key part of the expanding Flagstone community, which is projected to grow significantly in the coming decades. The centre integrates into the broader Flagstone urban framework, which includes residential areas, educational facilities, and future infrastructure like a train station and bus terminal. The architectural design balances functionality and aesthetic appeal, with an emphasis on flexibility to meet changing community needs over time.

Sustainability and placemaking are central to the project’s approach. The design incorporates landscaping and open areas to enhance the visitor experience while contributing positively to the area's environmental footprint. The shopping centre serves as a focal point for community interaction, aiming to cater to diverse consumer needs while supporting the growing population of Flagstone and surrounding regions.

This expansion contributes to the broader Flagstone Town Centre initiative, positioning the area as a major retail and commercial hub in Southeast Queensland, with complementary developments such as recreational, educational, and medical facilities planned for the precinct
