City Toyota Nedlands Showroom, WA
As part of Toyota Australia’s nationwide rollout of its new showroom strategy, City Toyota Nedlands has undergone a complete transformation—reimagining the dealership experience into a digital-first, customer-centric environment.
The initiative aligns with Toyota’s START (Systems for Toyota to Action Retail Transformation) Manual, which sets a new benchmark for technology integration, brand consistency, and customer engagement across all retail outlets.
MODE was engaged by Opra Projects under a Design & Construct contract to deliver a design that embodies Toyota’s new retail identity while responding to the specific needs of the Nedlands site. The result is a refined and intuitive showroom experience that supports both operational efficiency and customer comfort.
The refurbished showroom features a spacious, open-plan layout with a focus on clarity, flow, and visibility. A central waiting lounge, customer amenities, and digital service points are designed to improve the customer journey and reduce friction. The upgraded service centre, located on the upper level, allows for improved operational function while discreetly separating back-of-house activity from the customer-focused ground floor.
A key design focus was the integration of Toyota’s full suite of products and services under one roof—delivering a comprehensive brand experience that reflects the company's values of reliability, innovation, and service excellence.
City Toyota Nedlands is one of several sites delivered by MODE that support Toyota’s broader transformation strategy, demonstrating our ability to deliver high-performance, brand-aligned outcomes across Australia’s evolving transport and retail landscape.
