Balmoral Promenade

The project consisted of the refurbishment of the historical Balmoral promenade, a heritage promenade that stretches over 800 metres along the foreshore of Balmoral Beach on Sydney Harbour.

Client: Mosman Municipal Council
Location: Mosman, NSW

The Balmoral Promenade is a culturally significant aspect of the Mosman waterfront and has been an important part of local life since the early 1930s. The heritage buildings and the heritage wall along the promenade have been harmoniously incorporated in the design strategy to achieve an outcome that enhances the vibrant nature of the foreshore while highlighting the importance and character of its heritage. Our team of Landscape Architects, Architects and Graphic Designers worked collaboratively to undertake the site analysis, concept development, construction documentation and construction administration of over a kilometre of waterfront pedestrian pathways, amenities blocks, beach access stairs, seating and large existing Fig Trees; allowing for the final project to be very well utilised by local residents, with increased patronage on the weekends.
